Police: Driver Runs Over, Kills Man in Md. Parking Lot



    Pedestrian Hit, Killed by Car In Md. Parking Lot

    Police in Prince George's County are investigating a deadly accident involving a pedestrian. A man was hit and killed by a car Monday in the parking lot of a shopping center in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. News 4's Prince George's County Bureau Chief Tracee Wilkins reports.

    A man struck another man with a vehicle in the parking lot of a Prince George's County, Maryland, shopping center Monday morning, killing him, according to county police.

    The incident happened in the 5000 block of Brown Station Road in Upper Marlboro at 8:30 a.m. Monday. The victim, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

    Witnesses told police the man in the vehicle had his daughter in the car at the time of the incident. They also said the mother of the victim was at the scene.

    According to two witnesses, the victim was armed with an AK-47 rifle. Police confirmed that an assault weapon was recovered from the scene.

    Detectives said the driver remained at the scend and is cooperating with police in the investigation.
