Man Run Over in Pr. George's Armed Robbery

Mn dies after woman hits the gas

Police say an armed robbery in Fairmount Heights, Md., resulted in the death of a man who was run over by another victim in a car.

Comcast worker Bradford McCoy, 30, stopped his Comcast truck to talk to an old friend and three other men after midnight Sunday. Three masked gunmen approached, ordered the group down on the ground and robbed them, News4's Pat Collins reported.

One of the gunmen then approached a white sedan parked nearby and ordered the woman behind the wheel to give him the keys. In trying to drive away, she drove over McCoy, who was still on the ground. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The gunmen fled in the Comcast truck, which was found abandoned in D.C., Collins reported.

The woman remained at the scene.

No other injuries were reported. No arrests have been made or charges filed in the case.

McCoy's mother said she lost a brother and a sister last week and was preparing for their funerals when her son died. McCoy is also survived by his 10-year-old son, Bryce.

Comcast is the parent company of NBC4.
