Police say a man was robbed and sexually assaulted in northwest Washington early Sunday morning after asking for directions.
The assault was reported around 4 a.m. in the 1600 block of 3rd Street NW. Police say a man asked a stranger for directions, and was then guided to an alley. There, police say the suspect produced a handgun and proceeded to sexually assault, then rob the victim.
The suspect is described as a black man, wearing blue jeans and a white T-shirt at the time, carrying a dark-colored handgun.
