A man was killed when his car left a road in College Park, Maryland, and slammed into nearby trees, Prince George's County police say.
The victim, who has not been identified, was traveling north on Adelphi Road when his car left the road about 4:30 a.m. Police say the car then struck trees along the roadway.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
It's not clear what caused the victim to leave the road.
The northbound lanes of Adelphi Road are closed at 26th Place.
