Man Killed in Apparent Road Rage Incident in Virginia, Police Say

A man was killed after a road rage incident on Prince William County Parkway on Wednesday. The horrifying scene played out just before rush hour near the intersection with Minnieville Road.

The drivers of a 2010 Mitsubishi Galant sedan and a 1995 Ford F-Super Duty pickup got into some kind of dispute as they drove northbound about 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, Prince William County Police said.

Video shows where it ended in tragedy. The vehicles had come to a stop at a traffic light. Police say the driver of the pickup truck got out to confront the man in the sedan. The driver of the sedan then pulled off to the left, and the pickup driver was caught between the sedan and a 2012 Honda Odyssey minivan that was driving past.

The driver of the sedan, a 34-year-old Woodbridge man, briefly left the scene but then pulled into a nearby parking lot and contacted police.

The pickup driver, 53-year-old Larry Dean Walker of Woodbridge, died at the scene.

Those who watched were saddened to see an argument on the road lead to death.

"You just have to be patient, you really do. It's not worth losing your life over," Matthew Goldshine, a flower delivery driver, said.

Police are investigating. No charges have been filed against the sedan driver.
