Man Killed by Tour Bus

Victim may have been motorist having car trouble

CHEVERLY, Md.-- Police believe a man who was having car trouble was struck by a tour bus and died Tuesday night in Prince George's County

Police said the accident happened around 7:30 p.m. on the exit ramp from the B-W Parkway to Route 50.

Police believe a vehicle had stopped in the travel lane, and another car stopped behind the first car to avoid hitting it.  That's when police say the bus tried to swerve, but hit a pedestrian, the second vehicle, and a third vehicle.

The pedestrian died at the hospital.  Police think he may have gotten out of the original vehicle, possibly after having car trouble.

The crash is under investigation.
