Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal accident on a Beltway off-ramp in Prince George's County early Saturday morning.
Police say that Byron Hilton of Temple Hills was trying to take the off ramp at Exit 4A from the outer loop to Route 414 when he lost control of his 1996 Jeep Cherokee shortly after 4:30 a.m. The car drove off the ramp's left shoulder before overturning.
Hilton was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators said that alcohol was present at the crash site, but had not yet determined if it was a factor.
