The man found dead in the middle of an Annapolis street Tuesday night was murdered, Anne Arundel County Police confirmed Wednesday.
Officers were called to the area of Washington Avenue and Bay Highlands Drive at 8 p.m. Tuesday. When they arrived, they found 29-year-old Shannon Blair Jr. suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Initially, police hadn't been sure whether Blair's injuries were self-inflicted or the result of a homicide.
Investigators say Blair, an Annapolis resident, was not from the community where he was found.
