A man whose body was found in a wooded area near the Lakeforest Mall in Montgomery Village, Maryland had been shot to death, Montgomery County police say.
The body of Roberto Gutierrez Cruz, 22, was found Monday on the 18400 block of Lost Knife Road. Police said Tuesday afternoon that Cruz died of a gunshot wound and that they are investigating his death as a homicide.
Cruz is believed to have been shot within 48 hours of when his body was found, police said.
