A Falls Church man was charged with DWI in connection with a crash that killed a motorcyclist, and more charges are possible.
Authorities say Santos A. Perez was driving a minivan with a woman and a four-year-old girl inside when he struck 20-year-old Ibarra de la Cruz of Falls Church, shortly after 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3.
Perez had been attempting to turn left into a shopping center when he turned in front of de la Cruz, authorities said. It happened near the intersection of Patterson Road and Leesburg Pike.
The victim was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital, where he died of his injuries Friday afternoon.
Perez and his passengers were not injured.
