A man in his 20s died at a hospital Thursday after having a medical emergency at the Kettler Capitals Iceplex at about noon, Arlington Police confirmed.
"Kettler Capitals Iceplex, Washington Little Capitals, and the DC Hockey community has lost a great person today when Brian St. Louis passed away," read a statement on the Kettler website. "The Kettler Capitals Iceplex extends their deepest sympathies to Brian's wife Emily and his surrounding family, students, players and friends."
Police said the man was in an office at the rink at the time of the incident.
No other information was immediately available.
ARLnow.com reported that the Washington Capitals were practicing at an adjacent rink at the time. There was no immediate known connection between the Capitals organization and the man who died.
