A D.C. man has been found guilty of fatally shooting a teenager at a July 4 cookout.
A jury on Friday convicted 24-year-old Calvin Shaw of first-degree murder while armed. He faces a mandatory minimum of 67 years in prison at sentencing June 20.
According to government evidence, Shaw and two accomplices opened fire on a group of young men on July 4, 2012. Nineteen-year-old Crevontai Key was killed; three others were shot but survived.
