Woman accepted ride after leaving bar

COLLEGE PARK, Md.  -- A Laurel man has been charged with sexually assaulting a University of Maryland student last month, Prince George's County police said.

Police arrested Derik Villeda-Morales, 23, on Monday.

Police say the 21-year-old woman accepted a ride from a man she did not know as she left a bar in the 7300 block of Baltimore Avenue in College Park around 2:30 a.m. on Feb. 21.

Police say the man drove the woman a couple of miles, then sexually assaulted her and beat her, before forcing her out of his car on Route 50.
