Man Charged in Death of Landlord

A Pasadena, Md., man has been accused of fatally shooting his landlord in the home they shared, Anne Arundel County police said.

Police said 40-year-old Neal Jesse Manning called police early Tuesday and reported that he had just shot his landlord, 57-year-old Harry Wagner.

Police spokesman Justin Mulcahy said officers found Wagner dead with multiple gunshot wounds and that Manning surrendered to officers at the home. Manning has been charged with first-degree murder and first-degree assault.

Police said a motive is still under investigation.

Wagner's death is the county's first homicide this year.
