Police say the man charged in the fatal stabbing death of a 52-year-old Frederick woman was a known acquaintance of the victim.
Milton Orellana, 23, has been charged with first-degree murder and other related offenses in connection with the death of Gloria Watson.
Watson, 52, was sexually assaulted and stabbed in her home on Heather Ridge Drive on June 3.
Investigators say they identified Orellana as a suspect through DNA evidence found at the scene.
Watson's death was the city's first homicide in 2015.
