A man has been arrested after authorities say he took garage door openers from unlocked cars and used them to enter the victims' homes.

Robert Williams-Dixon, 33, was arrested Monday and charged with 11 counts of burglary and grand larceny. Williams-Dixon was also charged with credit card larceny and credit card fraud.

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office says Williams-Dixon committed 11 burglaries in the county between Oct. 13 and Nov. 2.

Investigators say Williams-Dixon entered many of the homes while the victims were sleeping. Investigators believe he stole the garage door openers from unlocked vehicles and then used them to enter the victims' homes.

Similar crimes have been reported in Fairfax County. Investigators are working to determine whether they are related.

Williams-Dixon is being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on no bond.
