A man has been charged after police say he painting a swastika on a trash cart at the University of Maryland.
Ronald Alford, 52, of Hyattsville was issued a criminal summons for malicious destruction of property and disturbing the operations of a school, the University of Maryland Police Department announced Monday.
Police say Alford spray-painted a swastika on a trash cart in Hagerstown Hall on Sept. 27.
In addition to the criminal summons, Alford is also not allowed on campus.
