A man was robbed and then hit with a hammer outside an Alexandria Wal-Mart late Friday night.
Fairfax County Police tell News4 the incident happened just before midnight Friday evening at the Walmart at the King’s Crossing shopping center along Richmond Highway.
Police say the victim called 911, saying another man approached him in the parking lot of the store and demanded money. The suspect struck the man with a hammer, and then ran away.
The victim was reportedly struck somewhere in the upper body. He was not taken to the hospital.
Police are still searching for the man. It is not clear what he stole from the victim.
