Man Admits Eating Man's Heart: Officials

Kinyua's housemate went missing days ago

A Maryland man has admitted to eating another man's heart and part of his brain, according to charging documents.

The Harford County Sheriff's Office said 21-year-old Alexander Kinyua was arrested Wednesday, days after a man whom he lived with went missing.

Police said they found body parts while searching the townhome on Terrapin Terrace in Joppatowne, Md. Police also found body parts in a nearby trash container.

Kinyua is charged with first-degree murder and was ordered held on no bail.

Monica Worrell, a sheriff's spokeswoman, said the body parts found in the home had yet to be identified by the chief medical examiner. But Worrell said authorities believe they are those of the missing man, 37-year-old Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie.
