Timothy Ray Phillips, of Yorktown, Va., was arrested following an undercover operation, deputies said. A detective posed as a teenage girl on an internet chat line. Meanwhile, Phillips actively pursued sexual contact with that detective thinking he was a young girl, deputies said. Phillips proceeded to set up a meeting between the two at the Hampton Inn in North Stafford.

After staking out the hotel, deputies arrested Phillips after seeing him leave a hotel room yesterday.

He is charged with two counts of attempted indecent liberties with a minor and two counts of using an electronic device to solicit a juvenile.

Phillips is being held without bond.
