Howard County police say a 21-year-old Maryland man used a phone messaging app to solicit sex from a user he believed was a 12-year-old girl.
Vincent Paul Hill, of Upper Marlboro, has been charged with sexual solicitation of a minor.
According to police, a 12-year-old girl reported that she had been communicating with a user named "Vinc Hill," who sent her sexually explicit messages and photos on Kik.
Investigators took over the girl's account, and allegedly began receiving photos and messages from Hill. They also received enough personal information to identify him.
Police say Hill solicited the girl for sex and told her to meet him at the Harper's Choice Village Center. Detectives were waiting to arrest him when he arrived.
Hill has since been released on $75,000 bond.
Police are asking that anyone who may have been solicited by Hill to call 410-313-STOP (1261).
