Man Accused of Killing Estranged Wife on Roof of Home Arrested

The man who police say shot his estranged wife as she hid on the rooftop of a Maryland home has been arrested.

Jameal Gould, 35, was found in a car in Salisbury and taken into custody, police announced Wednesday.

Investigators say Gould forced himself inside 30-year-old Erica Gould's Salisbury home Sunday afternoon to continue an argument that had started earlier that day. Police said he found her hiding just outside a window on the roof and fired multiple shots before fleeing.

Erica Gould was found on the roof with multiple gunshot wounds and taken to a hospital, where she died.

Salisbury police Capt. Rich Kaiser says police hadn't been called to the residence before and no protective order was in place.

Jameal Gould faces several charges, including murder, home invasion and stalking.

It's unclear whether he has a lawyer.
