Mall Worker Charged in Jewelry Store Embezzlement Case

A Woodbridge, Va. woman is charged for allegedly embezzling more than $80,000 worth of jewelry from the Zales store where she worked at the Potomac Mills Mall.

Police arrested Persephone Foushee, 26, after carrying out a search warrant on her home. Detectives say the investigation started in April, and that they found several pieces of jewelry at Foushee’s home once they got there.

A Zales employee at the Potomac Mills Mall would not comment on the status of Foushee’s employment to News4 over the phone on Monday night, and a call to the Zales corporate office was not immediately returned. Foushee is charged with felony embezzlement and possession of stolen property. She’s due in court in September.
