Later today a judge will decide whether to delay the murder trial for the woman charged with killing her coworker at Bethesda yoga store.
Brittany Norwood is charged in the beating death of Jayna Murray inside the Lululemon Athletica shop last March.
According to court documents submitted earlier this month, Norwood's lawyers asked for a delay in her first-degree murder trial to prepare a “not criminally responsible" due to mental illness defense.
Right now, the trial is set to begin in October.
Prosecutors have said they will seek a sentence of life without the possibility of parole if Norwood is convicted.
