A Loudoun County teacher is on administrative leave while officials investigate an incident between him and a student.
It happened last Friday at Harmony Middle School in Hamilton, Virginia.
Justen Bryant , 11, said he had just finished playing games in the gym and was sitting when a male teacher told him to sit down.
“And then I told him I am sitting. He picked me up by my waist and pushed me into the hall. Started yelling at me,” said Justen Bryant.
Justen says in the hall the teacher told him he was being nasty and disrespectful.
The Loudoun Sheriff’s office says it’s investigating the assault allegation and reviewing video from the school’s gym.
“I wanted to let my son know if someone harmed him it was OK to stand up for yourself, ” said Justen’s father Michael Bryant.
A spokesperson for Loudoun County Schools said this is a personnel matter that’s under investigation and that they wouldn’t put any student in an unsafe situation.
