ILLEGAL PHARMACY BUST
An Alexandria couple has been accused of running an illegal pharmacy out of an apartment, selling drugs smuggled from El Salvador.  Authorities say Elsy and Fausto Rubio had been running the illegal pharmacy from their apartment on Florence Drive for more than two years, earning between $2,000 and $3,000 a month selling misbranded drugs they had snuck across the border.

CHEVY CHASE MAN RUNNING FOR MD GOV
A 33-year-old Chevy Chase resident has entered the Republican primary for governor, but Brian Murphy said his campaign is not in competition against Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. "I don't have a beef with the former governor. I have a beef with the current governor," Murphy said Tuesday. "I don't want the current governor to be the current governor next year." NUDE DIP LANDS COUPLE IN HOT WATER
Vienna police have spoken to residents of a home in the 500 block of Windover Avenue, N.W., after a neighboring resident allegedly saw them using their outdoor hot tub in the nude. (Sun Gazette)

CRICKET FROGS
The Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy is sponsoring a trip to Ashburn’s Bles Park to search for the elusive cricket frog. Cricket frogs are very small amphibians that many may not recognize as frogs by their call, which sounds like two stones being tapped together. As it happens, Bles Park is a natural haven for this small creature. (Leesburg Today)
