STATE POLICE HELICOPTER LASERED
Baltimore Sun: "Maryland State Police have charged a Carroll County man with endangering a helicopter crew by shining a laser into the aircraft. The crew was returning to Frederick after a medevac flight to Baltimore late Tuesday night when it was hit by a green laser flash over Sykesville. Lasers can cause temporary blindness and disorientation during night flights, endangering the flight crew."

Connection Newspapers: "Homeowners, prepare to shovel the sidewalk in front of your house or face a fine of $50 to $100. Commercial property owners who once dumped snow from their parking lots on to county roads, prepare for prosecutors will seek criminal charges against you as a class 4 misdemeanor. Thatโ€™s life under a strict new ordinance passed last summer despite criticism that implementing the new rules presented an opportunity for abuse." 

PAUL'S PIE PRODUCTION PEAKS
Fredericksburg.com: " The day before Thanksgiving is the busiest day of the year at Paul's Bakery, and yesterday a crowd stretching out of the shop's door proved it. According to owner and namesake Paul Glancey, the bakery sells several hundreds of pies on this one day.  "We can't go much beyond that," Glancey said." 

NO SMOKING NEAR PARKS
Gazette: "The Greenbelt City Council voted Monday to expand the city's ban on smoking inside recreational facilities like the city's swimming pool and dog park, and a ban on smoking near all public buildings might not be far behind. Council members voted 7-0 to outlaw smoking within 25-feet of entrances to all city recreation facilities, including the pool, dog park and tennis courts. An existing law already prohibited smoking inside the facilities"
