Howard County Police arrested a Laurel man on Wednesday for allegedly growing 341 marijuana plants in his home.
Authorities executed a search and seizure warrant at the home of Manoj Unni, located at 9318 Cross Timbers Court.
There, police found hundreds of plants that could yield 170 pounds of marijuana at full maturity.
The value of the marijuana is estimated to be about $510,000.
Police say they also found sophisticated growing equipment including high-intensity lights, a dehumidifier, air filters, water pumping systems, lighting timers, a CO2 system and a ventilation system.
Unni, 30, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute, possession of equipment to produce marijuana and drug manufacturing. His bond was set at $25,000 and he has been released.
From 2003 to 2006, Unni worked for Baltimore police as a lab technician.
