Two teens were shot in downtown D.C. Monday morning.
Authorities were called to the 1300 block of 6th Street NW Monday morning, where they found a 16-year-old in a parking lot near the intersection of 6th and O streets NW. He was shot in the back.
A 17-year-old was found shot in the leg down the block, closer to 7th Street NW.
Police said they don't believe either have life-threatening injuries.
"The first units arriving on the scene found a young man shot in the back, in the lower back, a non-life-threatening wound, in the parking lot... and other units responding found another young man over at 7th and N," said Police Capt. Ralph McLean.
Police described the gunman as 16-to-18 years old khaki pants and a gray hoodie.
The victims are students at Dunbar High School in Northeast D.C., which sent a letter home about the shootings.
