Juvenile Arrested in D.C. Stabbing

Police in Leesburg, Va., have made an arrest in a weekend stabbing.

The attack happened shortly before 9 p.m. Sunday in Washington, D.C. Police were called to the 100 block of Fort Evans Road NE and found a teenager suffering from a stab wound. Authorities determined that the 12-year-old victim was walking down the street when another juvenile walked up, stabbed him, and ran off.

The 16-year-old suspect was arrested about eight hours later in Leesburg. He’s being held in the Loudoun County Juvenile Detention Center.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. He’s now in stable condition.
