Job Fair for Maryland Live! Dealers

In Maryland, new jobs are opening up after voters approved a gambling expansion.

Maryland Live! casino hosted a job fair in Bethesda Tuesday. The company needs to hire and train about 1,000 dealers to transition from a slots palace to a casino with table games.

Dealer candidates have to go through 12 weeks of school with classes five days a week. The school is free, but there are no guarantees of a job after training.

For those who are hired, dealers can make between $45,000 and $55,000 a year.

Another casino job fair will be held in Bethesda again Wednesday.
