Police: Accused Ice Rink Thief Possibly Had More Victims

Arlington County police are seeking possible additional victims of credit card theft after a man was arrested for allegedly stealing from locker rooms at a skating rink.

Barry Jason Fig was charged in March with five counts of felony credit card theft in connection with incidents that occurred at the Kettler Capitals Ice Plex.

Surveillance video captured Fig entering unattended and unlocked lockers room and stealing items from equipment bags of recreational hockey players, police said.

During Fig’s arrest in Montgomery County, police found several credit cards in the suspect’s possession that did not belong to him. Many of the credit cards belonged to victims from Kettler, as well as other area ice rinks, police said.

Fig has also been charged with similar crimes in Fairfax County, police said.

The investigation revealed more potential victims or people with information about Fig are out there.
