    A Howard County police officer was injured when his vehicle was struck head-on by another car early Sunday morning.

    Police said Pfc. Byung Moon was driving his cruiser on Washington Boulevard in Elkridge, Md., when a car traveling the opposite direction crossed the center line and hit the officer’s vehicle. Moon was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma and is listed in stable condition.

    The driver of the other vehicle, Ruben Guillen, of Elkridge, was also taken to Shock Trauma and is in stable condition.

    Investigators said alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. No charges have been filed at this time.
