Election Day is just two weeks away, but if you can't make it to the polls on Nov. 6, you have some other options.

Here's how to vote early or by absentee ballot in D.C., Maryland and Virginia:
Washington, D.C.
Early voting began at 8:30 a.m. Monday at One Judiciary Square, the downtown office building that houses the D.C. Board of Elections. Thirteen other early-voting locations around the city will open Friday.
Early voting polling stations will be open from 8:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. Early voting ends Nov. 2.
Voters in D.C. can also request an absentee ballot, but the Board of Elections must receive the absentee ballot by Oct. 30.
Maryland
Early voting in Maryland will be held from Oct. 25 until Nov. 1. Anyone who is eligible to register to vote can vote, according to the Board of Elections.

Absentee ballots can be requested until Oct. 30 if you want to receive a ballot by mail. If you want to download your ballot, you have until Nov. 2.
Your absentee ballot must be postmarked on or before Election day, and received by 10 a.m. Nov. 16 to be counted.
Virginia
Virginia voters have just over a week left to request an absentee ballot to complete by mail.
The state doesn't have early voting but allows absentee voting if you can't make it to the polls on Election Day for a variety of reasons. The deadline to request an absentee ballot to be mailed to you is 5 p.m. Oct. 30. You can do so online or by contacting or visiting a registrar's office.
Absentee ballots must be returned to your local general registrar's office by 7 p.m. on Election Day, which is Nov. 6.
Voters can also complete an absentee ballot in person through Nov. 3.
