WASHINGTON -- After initial tests of a suspicious package were inconclusive, U.S. Capitol Police evacuated the Longworth House Office Building as a precaution Wednesday afternoon.
Virginia State Police assisted Capitol Police in transporting the package to Quantico, where it will be rendered safe.
Longworth occupants were moved to the Cannon House Office Building while authorities removed the package.
