Hospital Killer Still on Loose

Police still searching for person who killed Suburban Hospital employee

Montgomery County Police are still searching for a suspect and motive after Roosevelt Brockington Jr. was found dead in a Suburban Hospital boiler room.

The 40-year-old father and hospital employee was found New Year's morning.  Police said they got a call for a stabbing at the hospital around 10:30 a.m. Saturday.  Brockington was apparently on a speaker phone when he was attacked, but by the time police arrived the attacker was gone.

The hospital was locked down and there was a massive search for the killer, but police say a suspect was not found.

Police said the stabbing does not appear to be random.

Brockington worked as an engineer for Suburban for four years.  He also served as a deacon and trustee at the St. John's Church in Northeast D.C.  His mother told News4 that that's where he spent New Year's Eve before going to work.

The investigation is continuing.
