Suspects Sought in Virginia Home Invasion

Three people robbed at gunpoint inside a home Monday night

Detectives in Fredericksburg, Va., are seeking to identify three suspects in an armed home invasion Monday around 10:20 p.m.

A 22-year-old resident of a home on Pitt Street was woken up by pounding on his bedroom door. He opened it to find a masked man pointing a shotgun at his head, authorities said. The gunman yelled for the suspect to hand over some unknown property.

Meanwhile, two accomplices entered another bedroom belonging to a housemate.

The second housemate, a 20-year-old man was brought into the first victim’s room, as was a 21-year-old friend who had been sleeping on the couch.

The first robber kept the three victims at gunpoint, while the other two ransacked the house, stealing cell phones and other items of value before leaving the scene, authorities said.

The first suspect was described as a black male in his late twenties, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall, and weighing about 160 pounds. He was carrying a gun and was wearing all black clothing and a bandana on his face.

The second suspect was described as a white male in his early twenties, wearing a black North Face fleece pullover.

The third suspect was described as a heavyset black male, wearing a red shirt and red baseball hat.

Fredericksburg Police say the investigation is ongoing. They're asking anyone with information on this case to contact them at 540-373-3122.
