Fairfax County police are still looking for the person who hit a police cruiser and then fled the scene Sunday night.
The police cruiser was traveling southbound on Gallows Road around 12:30 a.m. when a car traveling westbound on Masonville Drive failed to stop at a stop sign. Once the car entered Gallows Road, it struck the police cruiser on the rear quarter panel, causing the cruiser to spin into a utility pole.
The driver did not stop and continued in the direction of Little River Turnpike.
The officer was not injured.
The suspect vehicle is described as a four-door sedan with right front passenger side damage.
