High School Student Found Dead Outside Alexandria Apartment Building

A sophomore at T.C. Williams High School was found dead outside an Alexandria, Virginia, apartment building Thursday morning.

The 17-year-old boy was found beside a complex in the 2800 block of Park Center Drive at about 7:45 a.m. Police say the teen was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy will determine the victim's cause and manner of death.

While the victim has not been identified, school officials confirmed that the teen was a student at T.C. Williams. Grief counselors were at the school Thursday to help students. A  letter was also sent home to parents.
