High School Musical: Fight Club Edition

Between 50-100 students involved

Sixteen Prince George's County students were arrested after a brawl broke out at Charles H. Flowers High School in Springdale Tuesday morning.

School officials said between 50 and 100 students were involved in the massive hallway fight.

Officers from the Prince George's County Sheriff's Office responded to the incident, which started when a former student posted something online encouraging two neighborhoods to fight each other, investigators said.

Tuesday morning the former student  put on his old Flowers High uniform, showed up at the school and started taunting and fighting current students. No one was seriously injured, but one student was cut by a screw driver.

Parents are outraged and school officials are baffled.

"I'm hoping our children learn that it doesn't matter where you live, you can still get along with each other," said Principal Helena Nobles-Jones.

Police do not know the name of the instigator but said they do have his e-mail address and will be able to trace it back to him.

Of the students arrested, 14 were charged as juveniles and two are charged as adults. School officials have not decided what type of disciplinary action they'll take when the students return.
