Drivers violating HOV rules in Virginia and Maryland are being sought out by police.
In Virginia, authorities will concentrate on Interstates 95, 395 and 66 and the Dulles Toll Road.
If you're stopped and ticketed, it’ll cost you as much as $125 for a first-time offense.
The enforcement is expected to last through the evening rush.
