Gunfire Inside D.C. Metro Train

A gunshot was fired inside a D.C. Metro train early Sunday morning, shattering a window.

A Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority spokesperson said there was dispute between two men on a train bound for New Carrollton at 2 a.m. Sunday. One man was struck in the head with a gun, causing the gun to go off and break a window on the train.

No other passengers on the train were injured.

As the train arrived at the Cheverly station, the suspect was arrested. The victim was taken to the hospital with a cut to the head.
