Gray Announces New D.C. Anti-Bullying Initiative

A new task force will get input from nonprofits, teachers, and police

D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray announced a new initiative to tackle bullying problems in the District on Wednesday night.

Gray said the initiative will be part of a four-step plan that includes a task force, research report and a bullying forum. He announced the plan before a private screening of "Bully" at E Street Cinema, which follows five children and examines the problem of bullying.

D.C.'s “Anti-Bullying Action Plan” will include input and help from non-profit organizations, teachers and police.
