Goat Rescued After Wandering Streets of Northeast D.C.

Billy the Kid is one goat who could probably use a nanny.

The young pygmy goat was found wandering the streets of northeast D.C. last week, but thanks to the Washington Humane Society he now has a new home in Maryland.

Police were surprised to find Billy strolling down V Street NE, between 31st and 33rd streets, on Aug. 15. They called the Washington Humane Society, which said they were able to bring the goat back to its New York Avenue animal center.

The Humane Society said Billy is now living at Poplar Springs Animal Sanctuary in Poolesville, Maryland.
