PRINCESS ANNE, Md. -- A young girl was killed in a house fire Friday, according to Princess Anne authorities.
Firefighters pulled the girl through a second-floor window of the burning house about 5 p.m., but she died from injuries sustained in the fire.
A neighbor rescued the girl's 97-year-old great-grandmother before firefighters arrived, relatives said.
The State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the fire.
