For those who are looking to have a good and responsible time on St. Patrick's Day, a local group wants to thank you with a free cab ride.
The Washington Regional Alcohol Program is offering free cab rides on March 17.
The cab rides begin at 4 p.m. on Thursday and go until 4 p.m. on Friday.
The nonprofit group is offering these free rides to help combat drunken driving in the area.
Anyone who needs a free ride can call 1-800-200-TAXI to get a ride worth up to $30.
The service is available in D.C., Montgomery and Prince George's counties in Maryland, and northern Virginia.
Last year, more than 500 people celebrated responsibly by using the service.
