A Georgetown University freshman is recovering in the hospital after falling out of a fifth floor dorm window.
University officials said the incident happened at about 1:45 a.m. Tuesday. Michelle Konkoly, 18, of Eagleville, Pa., fell from the fifth floor of the Village C West dorm.
She was transported to a nearby hospital in serious condition, though emergency personnel said she was conscious and breathing.
Police are calling it an accident.
University officials said they have been in touch with the student's family and will provide resources as appropriate.
