TOWSON, Md. -- Gasoline prices in Maryland are at their lowest level in almost five years, and may continue to fall.
With crude oil trading at just under $38 a barrel last week, the price at the pump continues to decline.
The average price for a gallon of regular in Maryland is $1.61, down four cents since last week and little more than half of the average price from one year ago, according to AAA Mid-Atlantic.
If crude oil prices stay near $40 per barrel or below, prices at the pump could fall even lower, AAA said.
