Gas dropped to $2.99 per gallon at a Northeast D.C. Costco for the first time in nearly four years.
Triple A's John Townsend told News4 the price won't last long, and will likely increase by Saturday morning. The gas station is located at 2441 Market Street NE.
Twenty-five percent of gas stations in the country are selling gas below $3 as of Friday evening.
