Frederick city leaders swore in their first unified fire chief Thursday.
Denise Pouget will be in charge of both the career and volunteer firefighters in Frederick County, Md.
Pouget served as a firefighter in Virginia for 35 years before she went to Frederick.
She is the first female fire chief in the county.
